För några veckor sedan kunde Fastbikes.se avslöja att KTM 1050 Adventure var på gång. Under tisdagen blev det verklighet då modellen presenterades på EICMA, samtidigt som världsmästaren Antonio Cairoli passade på att visa upp nya motocrossmaskinen 350 SX-F Factory.

Den 95 hästkrafter starka V-twinnen uppges vara kraftfull nog att erbjuda lysande acceleration utan att vara alltför aggressiv och en toppfart på cirka 200 km/h. Trots en mindre cylinderdiameter och slaglängd än 1190 Adventure, syskonmodellen den härstammar från, kan effektkurvan matcha sin storebror över ett brett register. Trots denna imponerande prestanda, kan nya 1050 Adventure köras med ett A2-körkort med hjälp av en 35kW restriktionsmapp (finns hos KTM:s auktoriserade återförsäljare).

Med en lägre sitthöjd på 850mm (1190 ADVENTURE sitthöjd kan justeras mellan 860 och 875mm) och en vikt på 212kg, blir 1050 Adventure ännu smidigare att hantera tack vare KTM ”Ride Mode” teknik, ABS och antispinn. Urkopplingsbart ABS tillåter låsning av det bakre hjulet i det valfria "offroad"-läget. Antispinn tillåter mer eller mindre spinnande hos bakhjulet beroende på valt körläge. Vidare finner vi en fackverksram av stålrör, WP fjädringskomponenter inklusive en justerbar bakre stötdämpare och rejäla Brembo-bromsar. Från och med februari 2015 kommer 1050 Adventure finnas tillgänglig via KTM:s återförsäljarnät.

Bevis för att det orangefärgade ”Ready To Race”-företaget inte vila på sina lagrar passade företaget på att visa upp sin helt nya MXGP-racer, 350 SX-F Factory, under EICMA. Fastbikes.se var på plats och kollade in när en glad och stolt Cairoli visade upp sin nya fullblodsracer. En redan lätt och snabb tävlingsmaskin sägs nu blivit flera kilogram lättare, mer lättkörd och snabbare än tidigare.
